Mr.Dolia graduated in science from Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education, Pondicherry in 1975. He worked as a marketing executive in an export organisation and visited several countries. He was a member of a survey team sponsored by UNDP & CHEMEXCIL India which travelled to USA and the Caribbean Islands.

Mr.Dolia is fascinated by the world of travel; he has travelled to many countries on business and leisure. He is able to read, write and speak French, English, Hindi, Gujarati and also speak fluently several other Indian languages. His fascination for travel has resulted in the establishment of “Chetak Travels”.

He has passed IATA Basic Course in March, 1994 and devotes full time to the growth of the organisation.

Mrs. Tarika Dolia
Director

Mrs.Dolia graduated in Arts from Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education, Pondicherry in 1977. She worked as a Head Mistress in Udavi School, Auroville.

She loves to explore the world and has travelled to many countries along with Mr.Dolia. She can read, write and speak French, English, Hindi, Gujarati, Sanskrit, Tamil & several other Indian languages. Her travel exposure and profound knowledge has helped in nurturing “Chetak Travels”.

She passed the AIR INDIA COURSE – BASIC FARES in September, 1995. She devotes full time to the daily operations of the organisation.

“Chetak Travels” was established in June 1991 to provide complete travel solutions. The company is one of the few niche service providers to budget, semi-luxury, luxury and corporate travellers in India.

"“Chetak Travels”" is the brainchild of Mr. and Mrs.Dolia, who are actively and passionately involved in its daily operations. Their qualifications and vast experience acquired through numerous travels worldwide are a constant source of inspiration to the rest of the team. The “Chetak Travels Team” consists of multilingual directors and staff who speak English, French, Hindi, Tamil and several other Indian languages. The team through its dedication and customer care has set a benchmark for Travel Related Services in Pondicherry.

"“Chetak Travels”" is approved by IATA (International Air Transport Association) since 1996 and is also a member of TAAI (Travel Agents Association of India) since 2003. Chetak Travels is powered by GALILEO real time reservation systems which enables instant ticketing.

“Chetak Travels” handles the travel needs of IFP (Institut Français de Pondichéry), Alliance Française of Pondicherry, EFEO (École française d'Extrême-Orient) and staff of The French consulate, Pondicherry. The company had enjoyed an exclusive agreement for providing comprehensive travel services with the Ministry of External Affairs (France) for 3 years.

"Chetak Travels” has been an exclusive Preferred Sales Agent (PSA) for Thomas Cook Holidays since 2001 for all Outbound travels.

"Chetak Travels" also receives regularly groups from UK, France, Belgium, Reunion, Mauritius etc. Some of Elite Inbound Corporates include Diageo,Credit Suisse, Reuters, Coutts, Martin Currie, Schroders, Shelter, etc..

The logo of Chetak Travels was selected after a long process. It symbolizes the Flying Horse of Ranapratap (King) of Rajasthan. This horse possessed extraordinary powers and excelled in its missions; it has brought several victories to its master.
